Mt. Tabor is a huge, gorgeous park here in Portland which includes everything from hiking trails to a dog park. Lately it’s been central to local controversy around the possible retirement of the reservoir. KOIN 6 covered the story claiming that activists were upset due to the possible disconnection from the water system. However, there is apparently more to the story. Environmentalists claim that the new plan, including underground storage tanks, is wrought with corruption. Read more in Village Portland.
